History Road Show: CLHA Edition
Thanks to a grant from the Crown Point Community Foundation Women's Giving Circle, CLHA is hitting the road this fall/winter. We'll be hosting a series of programs in the community. We hope to see you at them all!

Annual Election Meeting

The annual election of the Board of Governors and Officers of the Association by the membership will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Cedar Lake Town Hall meeting room.

All dues-paying members in good standing are entitled to one (1) vote at the Annual Election Meeting. Please contact us if you are unsure if your membership is currently active.

The Cedar Lake Historical Association Board of Governors generally meets the 4th Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM.

Archived Resources

John Hodson of the Kankakee Valley Historical Society kicked off our 2014 season with a fascinating presentation on the KVHS archaeological project in March. The Collier Lodge site, also known as Baum’s Bridge, is located on the southern border of Porter County, Indiana on the northern edge of the former Kankakee Marsh. Diane Sprehe presented an outstanding genealogy program at our September 2013 meeting. She has made her handout full of valuable links and resources available for everyone wishing to get started on building a family tree. Thank you Diane!
