2017 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
Thursday, March 15, 2018 :: 6:00 PM Our 2017 volunteers are invited to an appreciation dinner to relive the incredible year we had as our organization celebrated 40 years of incorporation. We'll also look ahead to all of the exciting events that are planned for 2018 so bring a friend who is ready to become involved! In the Community
CLHA is participating in the 9th annual Crown Point Community Foundation Volunteer Fair on Saturday, March 3 at the Crown Point High School. This one day event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free. All ages are welcome. The Volunteer Fair is the perfect way to learn more about the volunteer opportunities we have available at the Museum, on our boards and committees, during special events, and more! Please stop by to say hello.
CLHA is also participating in the annual Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce Business & Organization Showcase on Saturday, March 24 at the Hanover Central High School. This one day event will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free. All ages are welcome.

CLHA requires its volunteers and interns to submit to a background check. The Cedar Lake Metropolitan Police Department conducts a thorough background check ensuring that our volunteers have not been convicted of a crime involving children. This is for the safety of all children that will tour the Museum.
Completed background check form must be submitted with a copy of the individual's driver's license or state-issued identification.

The Cedar Lake Historical Association’s Museum is one of more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to military personnel and their families this summer in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and the Department of Defense.
